- 2 ½ cups white wine vinegar

- 8 Strawberries (sliced)
- 15 black peppercorns (lightly crushed)
- 4 sprigs Basil

Product recommendation
Wash the bottles in hot soapy water, rinse well and put in a low oven to dry and become warm.
Use vinegar proof lids, e. g. glass or lined with plastic.
Preparation steps
1.
Crush the strawberries in a bowl and stir in the vinegar. Cover and leave to stand for 3 days, stirring frequently each day.
2.
Strain into a measuring jug. To each 600ml|20 fl oz liquid add 225g|1 cup sugar. Put into a pan with the basil sprigs and bring to a boil. Cook vigorously for 10 minutes, then remove the basil.
3.
Put the strawberries, peppercorns and basil into warm sterilised bottles and pour in the hot vinegar. Seal tightly.
