Fruit is essential for the body because it contains many nutrients. These fruits have vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which contribute to such a healthy and well functioning body. The walnuts provide healthy fats and protein, making this fruit salad extremely well rounded and filling. 

If you don't drink, you can always omit the alcohol. You can also substitute other fruits and nuts depending on your preference and the season.

7 ozs red Grape juice
3 sheets gelatin
2 Mangoes
2 Apple
3 Tbsps raisins
12 Lychee
1 oz chopped Walnut
2 Tbsps Maple syrup
4 Tbsps Rum (to taste)
2 Tbsps Lime juice

Preparation steps

1.

Soften the gelatin in cold water. Squeeze out liquid and add gelatin to a saucepan with the grape juice. Heat to dissolve gelatine. Pour into a shallow dish lined with aluminum foil and refrigerate until cold, at least 2 hours. Unmold, remove the foil and dice the gelatin into cubes.

Peel mangos, cut the flesh from the pit and dice. Rinse apples, quarter and core. Cut apples into cubes. Rinse the raisins and soak in rum.

Peel lychees and remove the pits. Combine all fruit in a bowl with walnuts, maple syrup and lime juice. Mix well and let marinate for about 30 minutes. Serve garnished with the gelatin cubes.
