Fried Pork Schnitzel
Ingredients
- For the sauce
- 3 Tbsps White vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 5 Tbsps white wine
- 1 onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- salt
- ¼ tsp Chili powder
- For the schnitzel
- 500 grams Pork tenderloin
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 tsp hulled Sesame seeds
- 2 egg whites
- 4 Tbsps cornstarch
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 500 milliliters vegetable oil (for sauteing)
- 3 Tbsps sesame oil
Preparation steps
For the sauce: In a saucepan, bring the vinegar, sugar and white wine to a boil. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic and add to the wine and vinegar mixture. Season with salt and chile powder.
For the schnitzel: Cut the meat cut crosswise into 0.5 cm (approximately 1/4-inch) thick slices, season with salt and pepper.
Saute the sesame seeds in a dry skillet until golden brown.
In a bowl, whisk the egg whites until foamy and add the sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons cornstarch and the ginger and mix the combine.
Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan or deep fryer to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Dredge the pork in the egg white mixture and working in batches if necessary fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, transfer to plates, drizzle with the sesame oil and serve with the viengar sauce.
