1 Tbsp dried Lavender
¾ cup unsalted butter (melted)
0.333 cup caster sugar
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp Baking powder
To decorate
powdered sugar
1 Tbsp dried Lavender

Preparation steps

1.
Crush the lavender flowers finely and stir into the melted butter in a mixing bowl.

Add the sugar, flour and baking powder and mix to a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and shape into 3cm|1" thick rolls. Wrap in cling film and chill for 1 hour.

Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan). Line 2 large baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
4.
Cut each dough roll into thin slices and place on the baking trays. Bake for about 15 minutes, until golden. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
5.
Sift icing sugar over the top and sprinkle with lavender to decorate.
