- 12 slices crisply cooked Bacon (drained and crumbled)
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 small onion (peeled and finely minced)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whipping cream
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp granulated sugar
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (for sprinkling)

Preparation steps
1.
Preheat oven to 450°F / 230º C.

Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in a pastry-lined pie pan.
3.
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs slightly. Beat in cream, salt and sugar and pour mixture into pie pan.
4.
Bake for 15 minutes, reduce oven temperature to 300°F / 150ºC, continue baking for an additional 30 minutes. Quiche is done when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
5.
Dust the top lightly with cayenne pepper and let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Cane be served warm or cold.
