Preparation steps

Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until light and creamy. Mix in the flour, baking powder, salt, quark and milk and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to rest. Wash the cherries and remove the stones. Heat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a deep cookie sheet. Pour a 1/3 of the batter in the bottom, then cover with the cherries. Pour the rest of the batter over the top and smooth. Bake in the oven for 30 - 35 minutes until golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.
