- 5 Tbsps unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 2 Tbsps garlic cloves (chopped)
- ½ tsp red peppers (crushed)
- 3 cups cooked Chicken breasts (chopped)
- ½ cup white wine
- salt (to taste)

- 5 Tbsps flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 1 ½ cups Parmesan (grated)
- 3 cups Fusilli (cooked)

Preparation steps

In a skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter; sauté the onions and garlic for 6 minutes. Season with crushed red pepper. Add chicken and 1/2 cup wine.

Increase heat to medium high and cook for 8 minutes stirring often until liquid is reduced. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a saucepan, melt remaining 4 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Stir in flour. Whisk in milk and let the sauce come just to a boil. Reduce to low heat and simmer until thickened. Stir in broth and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Add pepper to taste. Stir until thickened about 5 minutes.

Preheat oven 400° F.

Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Mix the pasta, chicken, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and sauce together until well combined and add to baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan.

Bake for 20-25 minutes in oven. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
