Cevapcici with Rice
Ingredients
- For the rice pilaf
- 400 grams Long grain rice
- 1 onion (diced)
- 1 garlic clove (diced)
- 125 grams butter
- ¾ l Beef broth
- salt
- 1 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 small Apricot
- 100 grams raisins
- 1 Curry powder
- 400 grams mixed Ground meat
- 100 grams Ground lamb
- 3 garlic cloves
- salt
- peppers
Preparation steps
Place the rice in cold water and rinse. Pour into a colander and drain. Saute the onion and garlic in 30 grams (approximately 1 ounce) butter in a pan. Add rice and saute about 2 minutes. Add broth, salt, cloves and bay leaf and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, partially cover and simmer for about 15 minutes or until done. Meanwhile, rinse the apricots and blanch in boiling water, peel and cut into small wedges. Cook the apricots, raisins and curry powder in the remaining butter, addd rice and mix over very low heat.
Peel garlic and finely chop. Mix in the remaining Cevapcici ingredients and shape into 10 cm (4 inch) long, finger-thick rolls. Transfer to an oiled baking pan and broil in the oven and cook for about 10 minutes or saute in a pan.
Serve the cevapcici on the rice pilaf.
