- 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup Buttermilk (well shaken)
- 2 Tbsps honey (plus extra to serve)
- vegetable oil (for griddle)

Preparation steps

In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add egg, buttermilk and honey, stirring until just blended.

Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat; brush griddle or skillet with vegetable oil. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle or skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until you start to see air bubbles pop up to the surface in the center of the pancakes, flip the pancakes over using a flat spatula. Cook for about 1 minute longer. Pancakes should be a golden brown on both sides and done in the middle. Repeat with remaining batter.
3.
Drizzle with honey and serve immediately.
