- 4 Hamburger bun
- Oak leaf lettuce
- 1 large, red onion (sliced into rings)
- Tomatoes
- Cucumber
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Mayonnaise (or whole milk yogurt)
- 600 grams Ground beef (from the hip or shoulder)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- vegetable oil (to fry)

Preparation steps
1.
Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Then shape into 4 hamburger patties about 2 cm (approximately 1 inch) thick. Do not over knead or hamburgers will become dry.

Grill hamburgers on a hot grill or in a pan with some oil. Cook on each side for about 3-4 minutes. Hamburgers should be slightly pink inside and very juicy.
3.
Cut hamburger buns cut and add a hamburger to each bottom bun. Top with lettuce leaves, cucumber slices, tomato slices, mustard, ketchup, onion rings and mayonnaise to taste.
4.
Serve with a glass of fresh milk if desired.
