- 4 Pear
- 4 tart Apple
- 1 lemon (juiced)
- Orange juice (to fill)
- 500 grams jam sugar (2:1 ratio)

Preparation steps

Rinse the sea buckthorn and place in a large pot. Rine, quarter, and coarsely chop the pears and apples. Add both to the pot with the buckthorn. Mix in the lemon juice and 200 ml (approximately 7 ounces) of water. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes until the fruit is soft.

Mash the fruit mixture with a potato mashed, then transfer to a colander lined with cheesecloth set over a bowl. Squeeze and measure the juice. Fill with enough orange juice to equal 800 ml (approximately 27 ounces). Add the sugar, bring to a boil, and cook for 4 minutes. Fill the prepared jars with the jelly, seal tightly, and cool completely.
