- 200 grams dried, white Shelled fava bean
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 bunch oregano
- 1 onion
- 100 milliliters olive oil
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 6 Multi-grain roll
- Sage (with flowers)

Preparation steps
1.
Soak beans overnight in a bowl of cold water. Peel garlic, rinse oregano and tie with kitchen twine. Drain beans, rinse, place beans in a pot, cover with water, add garlic and oregano, mix and cook for about 1-1 1/2 hours until tender. Add water if necessary. Remove oregano. Drain beans and let cool. Peel beans.

Puree beans with garlic in a blender or food processor. Peel onion and cut into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan and saute onion until translucent. Set aside a few onions for garnish. Place bean puree in a bowl, add fried onions, mix, add remaining olive oil, stir and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Slice multi-grain roll into thin slices and spread with bean puree. Garnish with reserved onions and sage stalks and serve.
