Product recommendation
Let the brownie cool completely before turning out and slicing.
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the oven to 170°C(150° fan)|325F|gas 3. Grease and line an 20 cm | 8" square baking tin with greaseproof paper.
2.
Melt together the chocolate and butter in a saucepan set over a medium heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from the heat and allow to cool a little.
3.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until thick and then beat in the sugar until thick and glossy.
4.
Beat in the melted chocolate mixture, and then fold in the flour, baking powder, salt, and chopped walnuts.
5.
Pour into the baking tray and tap lightly a few times to release any trapped air bubbles.
6.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until the surface has set; test with a wooden toothpick, if it comes out almost clean, the brownie is done.
7.
Remove to a wire rack to cool. Dust with cocoa powder before turning out, slicing, and serving with glasses of milk.
