Preparation
Kitchen utensils
1 Salad spinner, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Fine grater, 1 Pot mit Deckel, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Non-stick pan, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Small bowl
Preparation steps
1.
Trim the cauliflower and broccoli and divide into large florets. Blanch in boiling, salted water for 3-4 minutes, then refresh in ice-cold water and drain well.
2.
Heat the butter and sweat the onion until translucent. Stir in the flour, cook briefly without browning, then gradually stir in a little of the liquid to produce a stiff, lump-free mixture. The rest of the liquid can be stirred in all at once. Bring the sauce briefly to the boil, season to taste with salt and stir in the cream.
3.
Put the sauce into a baking dish, add the cauliflower and broccoli florets and season with salt and pepper. Cover with the cheese slices and bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
