Preparation steps

Cook the sugar with 400 ml (approximately 14 ounces) of water for 1 minute. Rinse the apples, remove the core with a corer, and slice the apples into 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) slices. Bring the apple slices, syrup, and lemon juice to a boil. Remove from the heat and let cool.

Spread the apple slices with a little syrup onto dessert bowls. Add the whipped cream to a pastry bag and decorate as you wish. Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon, and garnish with the sliced lemons and zest.
