3 slices white bread (100 grams)
150 grams unpeeled almonds
3 garlic cloves
4 Tbsps olive oil
1 Tbsp White vinegar
salt

2 Tbsps roasted slivered almonds

Preparation steps

1.

Remove the crust from the white bread and soak in cold water.

2.

Boil the almonds in water. Remove the kernels from the shells and pat dry.

3.

Peel the garlic. Squeeze the white bread and mash with the garlic and almonds.

4.

In a large bowl, mix the olive oil and 800 ml (approximately 3.5 cups) water. Add the bread and mix to form a paste.

5.

Add the vinegar and season heavily with salt and pepper. Cover and chill for about 1 hour.

6.

Serve sprinkled with toasted almonds.
