1 onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
3 tablespoons Curry paste
26 ounces rump Steak (cut into strips)
2 slices white Bread (soaked in milk)
1 cup whole almonds
1 cup Golden raisins
2 bay leaves
1 cup milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon Turmeric

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 175ºC (150º fan) 350ºF, gas 4.
2.
Heat the oil in an ovenproof and flameproof dish on the hob and gently cook the onion and garlic until soft but nor brown.
3.
Stir in the curry paste, cook for 2 minutes then add the meat and cook for 3 more minutes.
4.
Break up the soaked bread and add it to the dish with the almonds and sultanas. Season with salt and pepper and add the bay leaves.
5.
Mix together the milk, eggs and turmeric, pour over the meat and bake in the oven for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the eggs have set.
