1 Rutabaga (1 kg)
1 onion
1 bunch parsley
4 Tomatoes
2 Tbsps butter
salt
freshly ground peppers
1 tsp Caraway (ground)
Nutmeg
200 grams Whipped cream
150 grams Crème fraiche
50 grams breadcrumbs
150 grams grated Hard cheese

Preparation steps

1.

Peel rutabaga and slice into thin slices.

2.

Peel onion and chop finely.

3.

Slice tomatoes.

4.

Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan and saute onion until soft, add parsley and saute briefly.

Layer rutabaga and tomato slices in a baking dish, alternating. Season with salt, pepper, cumin powder and nutmeg.

6.

Whisk cream and cream fraiche with onion mixture, pour over vegetables. 

7.

Mix breadcrumbs with cheese and sprinkle over gratin. Cut remaining butter into small pieces and sprinkle over gratin. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and serve.
