- 400 grams Chestnut mushroom
- 4 Tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 eggs
- 250 milliliters milk
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- Nutmeg
- 75 grams grated Cheese (such as Gouda)
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Place the slices of toast in the bottom of a baking dish. Rinse the mushrooms and cut into slices. Rinse the tomatoes, remove the stalks and cut into slices. Spread the mushrooms and tomatoes over the bread. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Mix the garlic, milk and eggs. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour the sauce over the vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for about 30 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
