Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Brush the tomatoes with a little of the oil. Add the tomatoes and the remaining oil to a baking dish. Bake in a 150°C (approximately 300°F) oven for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Peel the tomatoes, cut into quarters, and remove the seeds. Cut the tomatoes into 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) cubes.
Bring the honey to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the tomatoes, season to taste with salt and pepper, and simmer gently for 2 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with the sesame seeds. This dish is best served room temperature.
