20 slicesSandwich Bread crusts removed
3 teaspoonsbutter
freshly ground peppers
16 slicessmoked Scamorza (Italian cheese)
16 slicescooked ham
36Sage leaf
Salad mix


1 Preheat the oven for 220°C (200° fan) | 425F | gas 7.
2 Toast the bread and melt the butter in a small frying pan at the same time. Scramble until set and season with salt and pepper.
3 Lay cheese on 4 slices of toast, spread with the scrambled egg, put 1 - 2 sage leaves on the egg and finish off each slice of toast with a slice of cooked ham.
4 Pile the slices of toast with their toppings on top of each other and finish off with the remaining slice of toast.
5 Secure with a wooden cocktail stick and put into a preheated oven for a few minutes, until the cheese begins to melt. Serve immediately.
