Ingredients

For the biscuits
½ cup butter
½ cup powdered sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
To decorate
3 ½ ozs Dark chocolate

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line 2 large baking trays with non-stick baking paper.

Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy.
3.
Sift in the flour and cocoa and gently stir until blended. Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a small nozzle and pipe 6cm| 2 1/2" lines, well apart, on the baking trays.
4.
Bake for 15 minutes until firm. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
5.
To decorate: melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering (not boiling) water. Remove from the heat. Dip 1 side of each biscuit into the melted chocolate. Place on a wire rack to set.
