- 12 strips applewood smoked Bacon
- 6 Golden Delicious Apple (washed)
- 2 Tbsps granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp Nutmeg
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ Tbsps good-quality olive oil (plus extra for baking dish)

Preparation steps
1.
Preheat oven to 375º F.

Arrange bacon on baking tray and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until crispy. Remove from oven and drain on paper towels.

Meanwhile, using a sharp knife, score the apples horizontally around the middle; do not cut all the way through. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil in the bottom of a baking dish and arrange the apples so they are not touching one another.
4.
In a small bowl, combine sugar, nutmeg, brown sugar, and flour. ; drizzle with olive oil and blend with a fork or your fingertips, Place crumb topping on top of apples.
5.
Bake apples until tender, about 35 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the apples.
6.
Serve warm with bacon slices.
