This light starter combines protein, carbs, and vegetables, making it a well rounded snack that provides essential nutrients while satisfying your stomach. 

You can always use a different type of meat like salami or prosciutto, or you can leave out the meat entirely.

12 whole almonds
½ teaspoon olive oil
½ teaspoon Chili powder
¼ teaspoon paprika
12 large green olives (pitted, drained)
12 Baguette
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
12 slices organic Chorizo

Preparation steps

1.

Heat the oven to 375°F. Grease a baking sheet. 

2.
Stir together the oil, chilli powder and paprika. Add the almonds, tossing to coat.
3.
Place on a baking tray and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until dark and roasted. Leave to cool.
4.
Stuff each olive with an almond and place on a cocktail stick.
5.
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the bread slices and place a slice of chorizo on top. Put a stuffed olive on top of each slice.
