- 4 ripe Pear (peeled with stalks intact)
- 1 tsp Cardamom (crushed)
- 4 Tbsps dark brown sugar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 3 Tbsps brown sugar

1 Measuring cups, 1 Pot mit Deckel, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Sieve, 1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Peeler, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wok oder große tiefe Pfanne
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Grease 4 deep ramekins or bowls.
2.
Divide the pastry into 4 and roll each piece into a circle larger than the pears. Reserve the pastry trimmings.
3.
Mix the cardamom seeds and sugar and sprinkle on the pastry circles.
4.
Put a pear upright on each pastry circle and brush the edges of the pastry with water and fold the pastry to come about 3/4 up around the pear. Put into the ramekins.
5.
Roll out the pastry trimmings and cut 4 wide strips. Dampen the edges and attach to the edge of the ramekins.
6.
Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with the demerara sugar.
7.
Bake for 30 minutes until the pastry is golden and the pears are soft.
