- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- 1 pinch sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup soft butter
- ¾ cup Yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (crushed)
- ½ tsp Dried rosemary
- all-purpose flour (for the work surface)
- 1 egg yolk
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.

Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, butter and enough yoghurt to create a smooth dough that can be easily kneaded. Only need for as long as is necessary and work in the garlic and the rosemary.

Roll out on a floured work surface approx. 1.5 cm thick and cut out 10-12 circles (approx. 6 cm diameter). Place them on the prepared baking tray.

Mix the egg yolk with 2 tbsp water and brush onto the scones. Bake for around 15 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from the tray and leave to cool on a wire rack. Serve with a savoury apple and caper dip.
