For the filling
0.333 cup Prune (pitted)
1 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsps hazelnut flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp Cardamom powder
ground cloves
cup Sour cream
For the kolduny
1 cup Whole wheat flour (heaped)
1 egg
2 egg yolks
Plus
2 Tbsps melted butter
2 Tbsps Cinnamon sugar (icing sugar and cinnamon mixed)
1 Tbsp sugar (icing sugar and cinnamon mixed)

Preparation steps

1.
Soften the prunes for around 1 hour then drain and puree well. Stir in the sugar, hazelnuts, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and 1 tbsp sour cream.

Knead the flour, egg, egg yolks and salt into a smooth pastry and then roll out on a floured work surface wafer thin. Cut out circles 7 cm in diameter

Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the middle of each circle and fold in half. Press the edges together firmly (moisten with water if necessary) and press the points together.

Place the kolduny in boiling salt water and cook for around 5-7 min.

Remove from the water using a draining spoon then dip in the melted butter. Dust with cinnamon-sugar and serve with sour cream.
