Preparation steps

1.

Peel the pears, halve and remove the core. Layer the pear pieces and lemon juice in jars. Add the cloves and cinnamon sticks.

Boil about 1 liter (approximately 4.25 cups) and sugar for about 2-3 minutes. Completely cover the pears with the sugar mixture.

3.

Close the jars and boil in a large pot with 1 liter of water (approximately 4.25 cups) for about 20 minutes. Store the jars in a dark, cool place until ready to serve.
