2 lemons (juiced)
4 Cinnamon stick
1 tsp cloves
400 grams sugar

Preparation steps

Peel and quarter the pears. Remove the core and slice. Drizzle the pear with lemon juice, and layer into jars. Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves. Bring 1 liter (approximately 1 quart) of water and the sugar to a boil, and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Cover the pears with the sugar mixture. Close the jars, and process according to manufacturer directions. Remove and cool completely. Store in a dark, cool place.
