- 1 ⅓ cups butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup grated semi-sweet chocolate
- For the caramel
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 5 Tbsps water
- 2 ¼ cups chopped Peanuts
- ⅞ cup cream (at least 30% fat)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 Tbsp butter

Preparation steps
1.
For the base: beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until fluffy. Beat in the egg and egg yolks.

Mix together the flour, cinnamon, cocoa powder and grated chocolate and stir half of the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Add the remaining flour mixture and mix with your hands to form a dough. Wrap in cling film and chill for 1 hour.

Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a 30 x 40 cm|12" x 16" baking tin with non-stick baking paper.

Line the baking tin with the dough and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
5.
For the caramel: heat the sugar and water in a pan until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil and stir in the peanuts. Add the cream and salt and bring to a boil. Cook until the mixture is dark golden brown. Stir in the butter.
6.
Pour the caramel mixture over the cooked base and leave to set. Cut into small pieces with a sharp knife
