- 1 chicken (1.5 kilograms)
- 150 grams Bacon
- 4 shallots
- 2 Red Bell pepper
- 200 milliliters Chicken broth
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- peppers (from the mill)
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1 bunch thyme
- salt

Preparation steps

Rinse and pat dry the chicken, then divide into 8 pieces. Cut the bacon into strips. Peel the shallots and cut into eighths. Halve the peppers, remove the core, rinse and slice. Fry the bacon with oil, then remove from the pan and set aside. Fry the onions in the remaining fat until soft. Salt and pepper the chicken, rub with paprika and fry over high heat in the pan.

Rinse thyme, pluck half the leaves from the stems and add to the chicken. Pour in broth and let simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes over low heat. Add the peppers and let simmer for another 10 minutes. Add the bacon, garnish with remaining thyme and serve.
