200 milliliters Whipped cream
50 grams sugar
5 egg yolks
2 Tbsps sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 120°C (approximately 250°F).

Rinse the oranges in hot water, dry, and grate the peel. Bring the zest to a boil with the milk and cream. Beat the eggs with the sugar until creamy, but not foamy. Gradually incorporate the hot milk. Divide the cream mixture into ovenproof serving ramekins. Place the ramekins in a roasting pan or deep baking dish, and pour in enough hot water to submerge 2/3 of the ramekins. Bake for 1 hour (possibly 10-15 minutes more), until the custards have set in the middle.

Remove from the oven, and chill in the refrigerator.

Before serving, dust the custards with the sugar, and place under the broiler until the surafce is lightly caramelized (or do so with a kitchen torch).
