- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsps runny honey
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 ¼ cups self-rising flour
- 4 cups rolled oats
- ¾ cup chopped, toasted Hazelnuts

1 Skillet, 1 Small bowl, 1 Plate, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Fine-mesh sieve, 1 Salad spinner, 1 Kitchen towel
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180C,350F, gas 4. Grease a baking tray.

Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth, add the honey and mix well.
3.
Gently stir in the egg and flour, followed by the oats and hazelnuts. If the mixture is too stiff, add a little milk. Put the bowl into the refrigerator for an hour to firm up.
4.
Roll out the dough. It will be very sticky and it may be easier to press the dough out with your fingers. Cut out squares with a cookie cutter.
5.
Place the squares on the baking tray, leaving plenty of space between each one and bake for 10 minutes. leave to cool for 5 minutes then cool on a wire rack
