300 grams onions
1 shallot
Bell pepper (2 each red, yellow and green)
5 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
800 milliliters Vegetable broth
2 tsps sweet ground paprika
2 Tbsps breadcrumbs
400 grams mixed Ground meat
1 egg
salt
freshly ground peppers
parsley (for garnish)

Preparation steps

Peel the onion and cut into thin strips. Rinse the peppers, cut into quarters, remove the seeds and ribs and cut into 1.5 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) pieces. Sauté the onion strips in 2 tablespoons hot oil in a pan, add the pepper pieces and continue to cook. Sprinkle with paprika, pour in the broth and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

Peel the shallots and cut into small cubes and sauté in 1 tablespoon oil until translucent. Mix with the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper. With moistened hands, form small meatballs and brown in the remaining oil.

Place the meatballs into the pot with the peppers and onions and season with salt and pepper. To serve, arrange on plates and garnish with parsley.
