Preparation steps
1.
Cut lamb into large, bite-sized pieces.
2.
Wash okra and cut in half crosswise.
3.
Cut pumpkin flesh into large bite-size pieces.
4.
Peel and chop onion. Blanch tomatoes for a few seconds, drain, rinse with cold water, peel, quarter and remove seeds.
5.
Fry meat in a large skillet until brown and then remove from the skillet. Sauté onion and garlic in the skillet while stirring until soft, add lamb again, add bay leaves, cumin, tomato paste and curry to the skillet and sauté briefly. Add wine, broth, okra and pumpkin to the skillet, cover and simmer about 40-60 minutes over low heat (until the meat is tender). Finally add tomato, mix and simmer for another 5 minutes. Simmer and season the stew with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Serve in bowls.
