- For the muffins
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- ⅔ cup milk
- 3 ½ ozs Kinder Chocolate (chopped)
- For the topping
- 7 ozs Milk chocolate (30% cocoa solids)
- 0.333 cup butter
- 6 ozs white chocolate
- To decorate
- Chocolate bean
- 1 Kinder Chocolate (chopped)
Preparation steps
1.
For the muffins: heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Place paper muffin cases in a 12 hole muffin tin.

Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and creamy.

Add the vanilla and eggs gradually, beating well.

Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt and gently fold into the mixture with the milk. Gently stir in the chopped chocolate.

Spoon into the paper cases and bake for 20-25 minutes until the muffins are risen and golden. Cool in the tins for 10 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
6.
For the topping: melt the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering (not boiling) water. Remove from the heat and leave to cool slightly. Spread on top of each muffin.
7.
Melt the white chocolate as above and drizzle criss-cross lines across the top of the muffins.
8.
Decorate with chocolate beans and chopped Kinder bar and leave to set.
