Product recommendation
it is best to use two deep-fat fryers, alternatively return the chips to the fryer after the fish and fry until golden brown.
Preparation
Kitchen utensils
1 Fluted tart pan (ca. 20–22 cm), 1 Parchment paper, 1 Brush, 1 Small knife, 1 Large knife, 1 Cutting board, 1 Bowl, 1 Whisk, 1 Oven rack
Preparation steps
1.
Fill and heat a deep-fat fryer (180°C).
2.
Cut the fish fillet into bite-sized pieces and place in a shallow dish. Season with salt and pepper. For the batter, sieve the flour into a bowl. Stir in the beer, egg and salt, cover with a cloth and leave to stand for 15 minutes. Then stir vigorously. Beat the egg white, but not too stiffly, and fold into the batter.
3.
Dip the pieces of fish into the batter one at a time, turn over, lift out and allow the excess batter to drain off. Put the battered fish pieces into the hot fat and fry until crisp and golden. Drain well on paper towel. Deep-fry the chips according to the package instructions.
