Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Place 12 paper cases in a cupcake tin.
2.
Place all the cupcakes ingredients in a food processor and process until the mixture is thick and smooth.
3.
Pour the mixture into the paper cases and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cupcakes are well-risen and springy to the touch. Set aside to cool for at least one hour.
4.
For the decoration, beat the butter and icing sugar together until smooth, adding the milk gradually until you have a thick paste. Place half the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle. Colour the remaining mixture with the orange colouring and place in another piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
5.
Pipe the plain frosting over one half of each cupcake and the orange frosting over the other. Scatter over the sugar sprinkles and serve with the candles and the candies.
