Grilled Pork with Potatoes
Ingredients
- For the pork
- 8 slices Pork butt
- for the marinade
- 100 milliliters vegetable oil
- 100 milliliters Red wine
- 1 tsp rosemary (ground)
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- salt
- peppers (from the mill)
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- For the potatoes
- 8 medium, starchy potatoes
- salt
- 2 tsps Caraway
- 200 grams Sour cream
- Aluminum foil
- vegetable oil (for brushing)
Preparation steps
For the marinade, mix all of the marinade ingredients well.
For the pork, pound pork pieces flat. Oil a preheated barbecue grill grate. Put pork slices on the grill and brush with the marinade. After several minutes, turn the meat and spread other side with the marinade. Move to indirect heat and cook on the grill until done. Then turn the meat again, brush with the marinade and keep warm.
For the potatoes, scrub the potatoes thoroughly and prick several times. Tear 8 pieces of aluminum foil and spread 1 side of foil with oil. Place the potatoes on the foil and and sprinkle with salt and caraway seeds. Wrap potatoes with the foil. Place on the edge of the grill and roast approximately 45 - 60 minutes. Turn occasionally. The potatoes are done when they are tender when pierced with a skewer.
Serve pork slices with baked potatoes garnished with sour cream.
