- Ingredients
- 4 Pork chop (each about 1/3-inch thick)
- salt (to taste)
- peppers (taste)
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (sliced thin)
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 large Leeks (chopped)
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 0.333 cup Chicken broth
- 0.333 cup heavy cream
- salt (to taste)
- peppers (to taste)
Preparation steps
1.
Bring pork chops to room temperature before cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2.
Heat 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium to medium high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 2 minutes. Place the pork chops in the pan and fry for 4-5 minutes on the first side, until golden brown. Turn to cook the other side. Fry for 3-5 minutes or until cooked through.
3.
Meanwhile, melt the butter over medium heat in a skillet. Add the leeks and parsley and sauté until leeks are softened, about 7 minutes. Add the broth and cook until reduced by about half, about 7 minutes. Add the cream and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until thickened.
4.
Serve pork chops with creamed leeks.
