1 kilogram ready to cook lamb (leg)
2 garlic cloves
1 lemon (juice)
1 tsp dried oregano
150 milliliters olive oil
freshly ground peppers
Sea salt

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the lamb, pat dry and cut into 2 cm (approximately 3/4 inch) cubes. Thread the lamb onto wooden or metal skewers and place on a baking sheet.

For the marinade, peel the garlic and slice thinly. Whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, oregano and garlic. Season with sea salt and pepper and drizzle over the skewers.

Cover the skewers with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 

4.

Place the skewers on a preheated grill and cook for about 10 minutes, turning and brushing with the marinade often.

5.

Serve with lemon wedges, pita bread and tzatziki sauce.
