Preparation steps

1.

Scrub beets thoroughly and cook in salted simmering water, about 35 minutes. Drain, rinse and peel. Halve beets and cut into thin slices.

Heat oil in a large frying pan. Add beet slices and ginger and sauté for a few minutes, stirring. Sprinkle with sugar, cook until caramelized and season with salt and pepper. Serve beets sprinkled with nuts.
