- Ghee (or clarified butter)
- 2 ⅔ cups Chicken breasts (diced)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 pc fresh ginger (approx. 3-4 cm, finely chopped)
- 2 small carrots
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 2 tsps Turmeric
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 2 Banana (not too ripe, sliced)
- 2 Tbsps raisins (soften in hot water)
- 2 red chili peppers
- 3 Tbsps blanched almonds (chopped and roasted)

Preparation steps

Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and fry the chicken on a high heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside.

Fry the onion in the remaining fat (add a little more if necessary) and then add the ginger and the carrots. After 2-3 minutes add the garlic and the spices. Cook on a medium heat and then add the yogurt and 150 ml water.

Season the sauce with salt and simmer for around 5 minutes on a medium heat. Add the chicken, bananas, raisins, chillies and the almonds. Cook for 15 minutes on a low heat, season with salt and serve garnished with coriander. Serve with rice.
