- 5 dried Figs
- 80 milliliters dry Red wine
- 2 Tbsps unsalted Pistachio
- 150 grams butter
- 150 grams sugar
- 3 eggs
- 300 grams Pastry flour
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- 1 ½ Tbsps Cocoa
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1 pinch ground allspice
- 80 milliliters milk
- 150 grams powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 1 Figs (for garnish)
- 1 Tbsp unsalted Pistachio (for garnish)

Preparation steps
1.
Cut the figs small and soak in red wine. Coarsely chop pistachios.
2.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
3.
Beat butter and sugar until creamy and add the eggs gradually.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and the spices. Alternately add the flour and milk into the butter mixture. Fold in the figs and pistachios.
4.
Butter and flour a loaf pan. Transfer the batter into the pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, checking to see if it is done with a toothpick.
5.
Mix the powdered sugar with the lemon juice and the milk into a glaze.
6.
Remove the cake is done from the oven, allow to cool, and take it out of the mold. Spread the icing on the cake.
7.
To serve: Garnish with fresh figs and pistachios. Cut into slices.
