- For the brownies
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 ⅛ cups butter
- 2 cups caster sugar
- 4 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 ⅓ cups Shredded coconut
- For the topping
- 4 ozs Milk chocolate (30% cocoa solids)
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 Tbsps milk
- 1 ¾ cups powdered sugar
- ⅔ cup Shredded coconut

1 Cutting board, 1 Paper towel, 1 Large knife, 1 große Aluminum grilling pan, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Brush, 1 Grilling tongs, 1 Small knife, 1 Bowl, 1 Garlic press, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Wooden spoon
Preparation steps
1.
For the brownies: heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a 23cm|9" square tin with non-stick baking paper.

Put the cocoa, butter and sugar into a large pan and gently melt, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Stir in the eggs, gradually, followed by the flour and coconut. Put into the tin and bake for 30-40 minutes until firm to the touch. Cool in the tin.

For the topping: melt the chocolate, butter and milk in a bowl over a pan of simmering (not boiling) water. Stir, remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
5.
Sift in the icing sugar and beat until smooth. Spread over the cooled cake and scatter with the desiccated coconut. Leave to set, then cut into squares.
