Crispy Meatballs Al Forno

Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and line a baking tray with grease-proof paper.
Soften the bread in lukewarm water.
Fry the onion and garlic in hot oil. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
Wring out the bread and add to the onion and garlic along with the egg, parsley and meat. If necessary add some corn flour to make the mixture pliable and not too soft. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
Shape into small balls and roll in corn flour. Place on the prepared baking tray and bake for around 15 min. Serve either warm or cold with vegetables.
