600 grams Pork belly (lean, salted)
800 grams Sauerkraut
2 Tbsps butter
2 onions

1 can Beans (white, large)

Preparation steps

Combine pork belly with 1 liter (approximately 4 1/4 cups) salted water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer about 45 minutes. Remove and chop. Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Coarsely chop sauerkraut. In a saucepan, sauté onions, garlic and sauerkraut in 2 tablespoons butter.

Add 2 cups broth and simmer over low heat, about 25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. After 10 minutes of cooking, drain beans and add to broth, along with pork belly. Divide among plates.
