4 boneless, skinless Chicken breasts
6 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and crushed)
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup olive oil (plus extra for grill grate)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp paprika
¼ tsp allspice
1 tsp salt
freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
wooden Skewer (pre-soaked in water for 30 minutes)
2 cups cooked Rice (if desired)
For Yogurt Sauce
1 ⅔ cups plain Yogurt
1 tsp fresh lemon zest
1 clove garlic cloves (peeled and pressed)
3 Tbsps fresh cilantro (finely chopped)

Preparation steps

Rinse chicken under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut chicken into thin strips. Place chicken in a large non-reactive bowl and combine garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cinnamon, paprika, allspice, salt and pepper. Mix well to completely coat the chicken. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a least 2 hours.

Prepare the grill for cooking; brush the grate with olive oil.

Thread the chicken onto the prepared wooden skewers. Place the skewered chicken on the grill and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and nicely browned.

Divide between plates. Season with freshly cracked pepper and serve with yogurt sauce and rice.

In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon zest, pressed garlic and chopped parsley; mix thoroughly. Refrigerate until ready to use.
