- 4 eggs
- 100 sugar
- 1 tsp Bourbon vanilla
- 80 grams Pastry flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 generous pinch Baking powder
- 150 milliliters milk
- 500 grams sweet Cherries
- 5 Tbsps slivered almonds
- butter (for greasing the baking dish)
Preparation steps

Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add the flour, salt, baking powder and milk to the egg mixture. Let rest in the refrigerator 30 minutes. Rinse and pit the cherries.

Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease a glass or ceramic baking dish. Pour in 1/3 of the batter, spread the cherries on top, then pour the remaining batter over the cherries. Sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake 40 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
