2 small Napa cabbage (each about 400 grams)

1 yellow onion
2 garlic cloves
2 carrots
30 grams butter
600 grams mixed Ground meat
1 egg
3 Tbsps breadcrumbs
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
salt

1 tsp Caraway

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 375°F) top and bottom heat. Trim the cabbage, rinse, halve and blanch for 5-7 minutes in boiling salted water. Remove, rinse under cold water and drain well. Remove the inner leaves and cut into thin strips. Peel the onion, garlic and carrots. Finely chop the onion and garlic and coarsely grate the carrots.

Heat the butter in a frying pan and saute the vegetables for 3-4 minutes. Mix the ground meet with the egg and the breadcrumbs and mix in the vegetables and parsley. Season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds and spoon into the cabbage halves. Place in a greased, ovenproof dish and bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.
